Hi Everyone,

I've been wondering lately why some people fall away from their faith and relationship with
Jesus as soon as they hit a rough spot and yet some will hold on through thick and thin,
through sickness and crisis. I believe that the difference is that some are followers and some
are disciples.

In John 6:66 - Jesus was talking to them about Himself being the bread of life and some tough
issues and it says "From this time many of His followers turned back and no longer
followed Him."

But I love what Peter says when Jesus asked His disciples if they wanted to leave
also. Peter answers, "Lord, to Whom shall we go? You have the Words of eternal life." (vs.68).

In Matthew 28:18-19. Jesus tells them to "GO and make disciples" not followers.

This is why it is so important to know the Truth of God's Word, because when tough
times come, and they do, sometimes that is all you have to hold on to, to get you to the
other side.

Jesus said in John 8:31-32. "If you hold onto My teaching, you are truly My disciples. Then
you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free."

In this ever-changing world, everyone has their own opinions and everyone thinks that
they are right, but there is only one definite, never changing, lasting Truth, and that's
the Word of God!

Jesus said "Heaven and earth will pass away but MY WORDS will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

We have been filled with so much religion, rules, laws and legality which brings only
frustration, and fear of bondage, but God wants to take us from...

Religion → Relationship →Revelation!

From Tradition to Truth!

We can only know the real Truth from the Word of God, and God doesn't want us
to be religious, He wants a relationship with us so that in that intimate place of relationship He can give us the revelation of Who He is and what He's done for us Who we are and what we have in Him!

When we know the Truth it brings peace, security, confidence, joy and freedom! Even in the midst of troubled times! So are you a follower or a disciple? It makes a big difference when you hit a crisis!

God Bless you all and have a great week!

Love Giovanna!
