Hi Everyone,

Have you ever felt like you were sinking and you’ve prayed but no answers?
Did you feel like maybe Jesus was sleeping? Well, you’re not alone, in fact that’s what the disciples were facing in Mark 4:35-41. Have a read of this portion of Scripture.

Now first of all Jesus had said to them “Let us go to the other side.” (vs. 35)
In Mark 5:1 it says “They came to the other side of the sea…”

So, if Jesus says that you’re going to the other side then you can be sure that no matter what storms you encounter in the middle, you will get there. Storms usually hit us on the way and no it’s not God testing us but the enemy trying to stop us from reaching and fulfilling the plan that God has for our lives, but God will use it to see how developed our faith is.

Will we believe what the Word says, or will we focus on the storm?

Our response to the storm will determine whether we get to the other side or not. In fact many, unfortunately turn back in fear and never make it. This is the time to let Jesus Arise in our lives!

Hebrews 10:35-36 says “So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You  need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.”

The disciples had already seen Jesus perform many miracles, yet when the storm hit they panicked then when He calmed the storm Vs 41 says that they asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!” They were terrified, in fact I think they were more afraid of Jesus’ power than they were of the storm!

Isn’t it funny how we can experience or see healings, provisions, protection etc yet as soon as a storm hits, we can still panic. This is the time to remember what He’s done if the past, if He’s done it before, then He can do it again because He never changes! (Malachi 3:6)

Our relationship with Him will play a big part also.

So, I ask you…

  • Are you facing a storm in your life or maybe within you?
  • Is Jesus in your boat?

You can be sure that if Jesus is on your boat you will survive through any storm and get to the other side.
