The Living God!
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone ever asked you… “What is the difference between your God and the god of other religions?”
Well I was asked and if you’re wondering what I said, let me tell you.
In Daniel 6:20 it says
“O Daniel, servant of the Living God, is thy God Whom you serve continually, able to deliver you?”
Read Daniel 6:1-28
Daniel was placed in a lion’s den for not compromising his beliefs but Vs 23 says that when they removed him from the lion’s den, there was no wound on him at all because he’d trusted in his God.
In Vs. 26 the King declares about Daniel’s God.
“For He is the Living God and He endures forever…”
So what’s the difference? It’s not just because our God is spelt with a capital letter but our God is the Living God!
There are 4,300 religions in the world and every one of them worships a dead god. Someone that existed in the past but is now lying in a tomb somewhere, totally and completely dead! But our God is alive and well. Other religions follow a god’s teachings, but he no longer exists, but our God, the creator of all things, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega has no timeline, He always was, always is, and always will be the Living God!
If you go to the tomb where Jesus lay, you’ll find it’s empty because our God is the Living God!
He is not a god among other gods but the God of all mankind. (Jerimiah 32:27)
“Christ is not one of the many ways to approach God, nor is He the nest of several ways; He is the only way.” (A.W. Tozer)
None but Christianity can save man for eternity! And Jesus is the only way! (John 14:6)
Just as King Darius declared that Daniel’s God was the Living God so the unsaved world is watching us to see if we really believe what we say, to see if our actions, reactions, words and life prove that our God is the Living God WHO can be trusted and is still able to save, deliver and heal!
If you’re in a situation where you’re tempted to compromise, don’t!!!
Honour God as Daniel did and God will honour you.
Sometimes that means risking your job or friendship, but God will always vindicate you when you honour Him.
If you have a need today, go to Him, He is still able to heal, save, or bring you through any situation you may be facing because He is still the One and only Living God and He never changes. (Malachi 3:6)
So I ask you today…
“Daniel (place your name here) servant of the Living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, able to rescue you from the lion’s den?" (Daniel 6:20)
And as Jesus said to the blind men in Matthew 9:28 “Do you believe that I AM able to do this?"
I say YES, YES, YES! What do you say?
