Hi Everyone,

Have a read of Mark 4:1-20.

The word? or the world?

Jesus uses the example of a farmer scattering seeds to teach them about the Word of God and the condition of their hearts. The ability to retain the Word comes from the condition of our hearts.  That's why He speaks about the shallow or fertile ground.  If our hearts are in the right condition, the seed of the Word will grow and produce results.  If our hearts are in the wrong condition, the Word gets stolen, suffocated, or destroyed by the enemy.  Difficult times come to everyone. The condition of our heart will determine our outcome.

Victory has a source.

You see, the enemy is after the Word that's inside you because he knows that if that Word goes deep and grows, you will be able to withstand any difficulty and trial that comes your way! We're not fighting for victory but from victory! We need to remember that Jesus won the victory through the cross and resurrection, so we are not trying to defeat the enemy; we are just defending the victory that is rightfully ours.  If the Word is planted deeply in our hearts, then whenever life happens to present an obstacle, we respond according to the Word no the World or Google.

Garbage in...

So what condition is your heart? You've heard it said, "Garbage in, garbage out!" but if the Word is in there, that's what will come out!  You will still be able to have the joy and peace of God through stormy times. This is how we overcome. Because of God's Word producing a harvest in our hearts we come out stronger. Greater is He that is in me, than anything this world can throw at me!  So what's in your heart? Is it the Word or the World?

Plant these seeds in your heart:

John 14:27, 16:25,  Romans 16:25,  2 Corinthians 1:8-10,  Philippians 4:4-7,  Colossians 2:7,  1 John 4:4, 5:4-5

God Bless You All!

Love, Giovanna
