Admin. Assistant for Casey City Church

Casey City Church is offering a part-time position for an Admin Assistant, reporting directly to the Business Manager and supporting the Pastoral Team.  We are currently seeking an experienced, initiative driven and passionate individual, who is self-motivated, who loves a challenge, has strong people skills and a love for service.

Casey City Church was set up in 2003, located in Narre Warren, to serve the local community in the City of Casey and a global community as an outreach.   Transforming communities through knowing Christ and loving people.



About You

Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • providing courteous and accurate information to , church members, callers, staff and visitors,

  • being approachable, friendly and welcoming to all stakeholders,

  • handling incoming calls and making instructed outgoing calls,

  • manage incoming emails and responding appropriately and professionally,

  • organising catering for meeting & events,

  • assist accounts payable and accounts receivable,

  • basic database entry in Elvanto,

  • calendar management for the Pastoral Team,

  • administrative support for Executive Team,

  • basic level of preparation and printing of marketing materials,

  • sending out email reminders,

  • volunteer record keeping and register,

  • maintain volunteer availability rosters,

  • handling inquiries regarding room hire and calendar,

  • scheduling meetings and appointments,

  • ensuring the church premises is clean, safe and a well-functioning workspace,

  • setting up and refreshing meeting rooms,

  • daily restoration of premises and replenishing utilities,

  • minute taking and report preparation,

  • inventory control of church weekly supplies and ordering of supplies,

  • continuous improvement of the administrative processes,

  • WHS record keeping and audits.



To be successful in this Position You will need:

  • Employee Working with Children Check

  • Consent to a National Police Check

  • Willing to gain a minimum Certificate 2 First Aid

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Work, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Initiative driven and passionate individual who is self-motivated and also enjoys working in a team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with high attention to detail

  • Exposure to a similar work environment, especially churches is highly desirable
