Hi Everyone,

I recently had a dream about two huge angels in what looked like a school canteen. I could only see their waist as they stood behind the canteen counter with jugs of oil. As I watched I saw people going up to the counter with empty jam jars and everyone who approached the counter had their jars filled by these angels and it seemed like the oil never ran out!

When I shared this with my daughters and others said it reminded them of the Parable of the 10 Virgins in Matthew 25:1-13.

As I thought about this I wondered if perhaps the 5 foolish virgins, who didn't have the extra oil and were not prepared and ready when the bridegroom came, I wonder if they knew the bride, but not the bridegroom? When you read that parable it says that because they weren't ready with their oil, they missed out on the wedding feast. In fact, the doors shut before they got there.

So maybe it's like those who go to church week after week, clap and sing the songs, listen to the preacher, enjoy the church lunch but don't really have a relationship with Jesus! Or perhaps it's a very shallow one with no real depth or intimacy.

Yes, it is possible to know the bride but not the Bridegroom.

In Revelation 4:16 Jesus says to the Church in Laodicea, "But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!"

In the parable, the foolish virgins wanted oil from the wise ones but they were told to go and get their own.

I believe this is a good time to fill our own jars with oil and keep them filled!

Don't expect someone else to build your relationship with your Saviour for you, it's a personal decision and walk.

So pick up your Bible every day and let it speak to you. Spend time speaking to your heavenly Father, He's waiting for you! He loves you so very much!

Enjoy time in personal worship with your saviour and Lord, He deserves it!

And listen carefully to the leading of the precious Holy Spirit, He's ready to speak and guide you through every situation you may face. (John 14:15-26, John 15:26, John 16:5-15).

God bless you all and have a great week!

Love Giovanna!
