Hi Everyone,

Last time I shared how as a child I was drawn to that man on the cross, Jesus.

I knew the story didn't end there but didn't quite understand what happened after that. As I got older it clicked, "Oh He rose again!" But didn't realise what it meant for me. It wasn't until I was saved that I had the revelation that "He is risen and He's alive!"

(Matthew 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-7, Luke 24:1-7, John 20:1-8)

In Luke 24:5-6 it says that when the women went to the tomb & found it empty, two men appeared in dazzling robes (angels) to them and said, "why do you look for the living among the dead? He's not here, but has risen! Remember what He told you..."

How funny that the Priests and Pharisees remembered what Jesus had said but not His own disciples! (Matthew 27:62-66)

Praise God! He is risen and is alive today!

Satan thought that the crucifixion was the end, he'd been looking out to get Him since the beginning in Genesis 3, but finally, he'd got rid of Him but No! No! No! That was not the end! It was just the beginning! It was satan's defeat and Jesus's victory! (Colossians 2:13-15)

You see death could not hold Him down!

This is what Easter is all about, it's the story of the eternal triumph of life over death! But there's more, it wasn't just Jesus's victory, but it's our victory too! He did it for us, so that we would no longer be enslaved and held in bondage by satan! His crucifixion and resurrection set us free, not just for today but for eternity!

So what does that mean for us?

It means that we have forgiveness for our sins, healing for our sickness, joy instead of depression and sorrow, peace instead of anxiety, his friendship instead of loneliness, His light for our darkness and Eternal life from His death!

2 Peter 1:3 says "By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living and godly life..."

Yes, Jesus is alive! If you visit the tomb you'll find it empty! He's not there! It was a borrowed tomb cause He wasn't planning on staying there! Unlike the leaders and God's of other religions, because Jesus Christ was more than just a prophet, more than a healing evangelist, He was and is God made flesh to save us from our sins and free us from the curse that it brought. (Galatians 3:13)

He came to give us life, John 10:10(amp) says "The thief (satan) comes in order to steal and kill and destroy, I came (Jesus) that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows."

That sounds good to me! Isn't He wonderful! Doesn't it make you want to jump up and praise Him! And all He wants from us is a relationship, He wants us to get to know Him better, and is calling us all to draw closer!

He loves us so very much beyond our understanding. Do you want to know Him more intimately? Then tell Him, speak to Him every day, read His word, worship Him every day, not just in song but with your life, praise Him for all He's done, is doing and will do for you!

Oh Jesus, Jesus! What a wonderful Saviour!

As children of God, we don't need to wait to celebrate Easter or as I prefer to call it Resurrection day, once a year but we can celebrate it every day!

Let me leave you with Revelation 1:8 and 18

"I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, 'Who is, and who was, and who is to come the Almighty.'"

"I am the living one: I was dead, and behold I AM alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and hades."

That's the best news ever!

Now go and tell someone!

Hallelujah! Jesus is alive!

God bless you all and have a wonderful week in His glorious presence!

Love Giovanna!
