Hi Everyone,

“For the Kingdom of God is not about talk only but of power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)

This is the scripture that the Holy Spirit has been reminding me of over the last few weeks. I’ve thought about it quite a lot and believe that God is telling us that we have heard a lot of talks, we’ve done lots of talking but now, in these last days we are about to see the power of God in action!

As I pondered on this, it made me more and more curious and excitedly expectant at what God is about to do. Then one-night last week I received a call from my son, he began telling me that they were at the hospital in an emergency because our almost 3-year-old granddaughter had broken her arm. “Are you sure?” I asked him. Then I remembered how he’d broken his arms 3 times as a child, so yes, he would know what it looks like! He continued to tell me how badly swollen it was and how upset she was, she was crying and would not let anyone touch it. Not even the hospital nurse who was trying to write the report, in fact when the nurse tried to touch it, she screamed and hit her!

I just wanted to cry! Poor darling, she must have been in so much pain. “Let’s Pray” I suggested, he agreed, so we began to pray over the phone, we declared the healing power of God to flow and that Jesus would wrap His arms around her and take all the pain away and restore peace within her in Jesus Name!

My son reassured me that he would call me as soon as they had x-rayed her arm and had spoken to the doctor. As I got off the phone I was reminded of that scripture

“I AM the Lord Who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26)

I quickly tried to call my son back to tell him that I believed that she was healed, but he didn’t answer. Then somewhere between ½ hour to an hour later we received a call from my daughter-in-law saying that they were on the way home. Apparently, as soon as we got off the phone our little granddaughter stopped crying, pulled her arm out of the sling and said to her mum with a big smile on her face, “Mommy, it's all better now!”. She began waving her little arm around. My daughter in law called the nurse over, who was quite baffled, it wasn’t bruised or swollen anymore, all the swelling had disappeared! What had just happened? The nurse looked at what she had written in the report then kept looking at her arms. They both looked the same, perfectly normal! No sign of any injury at all!

My son later told me that she was so happy and was telling everyone that her arm was all better now! “It was like she’d seen or sensed something in the spirit realm!” He said. Wow! Now that’s the power of our Almighty God! All praise and thanksgiving and honour to our wonderful God was willing to sacrifice His precious Son for us so that we might become His Sons and daughters also!

When the leper came to Jesus and said “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus’ response was “I Am willing…. Be healed!” (Matthew 8:2-3)

He is still willing to heal today. I really believe that we will see more and more of the mighty power of God in our lives and the lives of those around us!

Maybe we’ve been waiting for God to do something but maybe he’s been waiting for us to step out in faith and receive what Jesus has done on the cross! So, let’s not hesitate to pray for ourselves and for others and yes, it may not happen as instantly as it did for my granddaughter but then, ...it just might!
